Another group who has been absent-minded from the stage for a year and three months is KNK. It has definitely been a while since we have seen this group equally well, with their last comeback being Sunrise in July 2019. Today, the group returns with RIDE and the mini-album, KNK Airline. Hither is a fun fact related to this comeback: this comeback is funded by fans after the group and their company started a MAKESTAR project earlier this twelvemonth. This makes it KNK's second comeback funded by fans, with Sunrise and KNK South/S Collection existence their get-go! To me, that is pretty cool and shows how stiff Tinkerbell'due south (their fandom's name) is.
Something that I find common with KNK comebacks is that they never fail to draw my attention. Information technology is the same instance with RIDE, instantly cartoon me into the song from my first heed. Y'all might remember that I am like shooting fish in a barrel to satisfy, which I agree to a degree. However RIDE manages to have a few tricks up its sleeve that I personally did not look. I have to begin by saying that RIDE does feel significantly weaker equally a whole compared to their previous title tracks. This is partly due to the generic nature of the instrumentation that doesn't really have much boldness or graphic symbol to it. However, information technology is what they add to the instrumentation that gives the song life. Firstly, let'southward focus on both the vocals and the melodies in the song. While they aren't explosive or powerful as they could have been, the choppiness to the melody was pretty unique. And information technology is more interesting, every bit the rhythm to RIDE made this choppiness feel polish (which is contradictory, merely KNK and the vocal's producers struck a fine residuum betwixt the 2 and I similar this very much). The melodies also make this song quite catchy. Secondly, the rapping adds some stability to the song, in my opinion. They help keep the song grounded (or anchored), while the balance of the vocals and melody provided upbeat energy that fabricated the song feel like it was floating about. Thirdly, the energy that I merely mentioned was pleasant and enjoyable. It isn't equally difficult-striking as I expected and I idea that was quite nice. Overall, I enjoyed listening to RIDE. It may not be up to par as their past comebacks, but they managed well with it.
Some other music video with strong visuals from the members during their closeups. Merely aside from adopting that same choreography and closeup formula that I have mentioned fourth dimension and time again, there isn't much else to the music video. I personally do not understand the setting of the music video. The members are dressed up as pilots and exercise some choreography on the airplane rail. That makes sense. But it is the desert scenes that I take question marks over. There might exist a reference to the desert (or some place isolated and away from civilisation) in the lyrics, but I haven't picked up on anything yet.
The start to the RIDE choreography with Heejun beingness lifted into the air, after he 'levitates' off the basis by belongings onto the member's legs is actually cool. At that place is a subtle smoothness to the choreography that I really enjoyed. I too liked the fast paced nature of some parts, matching the tempo of the music quite well.

KNK seems to be treatment their own careers quite well. Late last year, the group established their own company after leaving YNB Entertainment (it was assumed that their former company was non managing them well). This year, the group returned with Lone Nighttime, making it their get-go comeback in most 2 years. Later half-dozen months, the group returns with Sunset, another digital single. On pinnacle of that, the group volition be embarking Europe tour too adjacent month (and Wikipedia states that the group had also wrapped up their U.s. tour and Japan tour).
Sunset is a bold track that makes you instantly associate it with the modelling world or at least, a track. We have had a number of tracks that accept this road in the past. And each of them turned out to exist very dynamic just in a subtle manner. Sunset definitely follows the trend. But may I add that the vocal likewise has a sure level of intensity that gives it a sensual feel. The chorus has to be my favourite part. Not only do they seductive whisper 'Dusk 4 iv Y'all' repetitively, the instrumentation I institute to be quite cool (though typical for the style of music they chose). Listening to the track, you lot find the bodily singing and rapping inside the verses. While they don't really sound amazing, I exercise call up they showcase a proficient side of themselves in the song. I have been impressed with KNK's championship tracks so far in their career and information technology seems like Dusk is another add-on to that listing.
The music video is captivating. Though at that place wasn't much going on content-wise (i.e. the video was made up of creative close-ups and choreography shots), the temper they created with the minimal lighting and utilize of silhouettes was amazing. The visuals we saw in the music video made the vocal sound so much more thrilling. The sensual vibes that I identified with the song were carried throughout the music video is a way that feels perfectly correct (e.k. Heejun'south abs and the choreography shots).
Based on what can be seen in the music video, the choreography seems to show some voguing and homme fatale vibes. And to pull off those vibes and moves perfectly, the members have to look visually amazing, which I think they exercise. And I suppose the performance is going to look very charged, which fans will undoubtedly enjoy. There are some interesting $.25 that I am keen to meet live, such as the hanging fellow member at the very get-go and the full chorus routine.

After a year and a one-half absenteeism from the stage, KNK has finally returned with a make new unmarried, Lonely Night. Their concluding comeback was in July 2022 with their digital single Pelting. Since then, a number of events have occurred for to the male group including their Japanese debut, 3 of the members (Seungjun, Inseong & Heejun) participated in Mix Nine survival bear witness, Youjin left the group, Seungjun changed his stage name to Seoham, the group also parted ways with YNB Entertainment and this latest comeback sees the addition of a new member, Lee Dongwon, to the group.
Lone Nighttime reminds me of their previous single, Pelting. I am attributing that to the instrumental, due to the saxophones in this vocal. Rain was more lowkey, however, while the saxophones in Lonely Night is more profound and give off an upbeat vibe. Alone Dark also has a darker feel, forth with an intense hip-hop influence, which is definitely a trend ongoing in KPOP for the by few years. Birthday, the song does present as an attractive parcel to me. It has that nighttime vibe in its audio which I enjoy while as well remaining upbeat to really have something for me to catch onto. I can see the song becoming catchy for me. The vocals were superb. Everyone sounded groovy. But my best part of the entire song has to be the rapping that featured just before each chorus. Information technology sounded cool and simply pb nicely into the chorus.
There could potentially be some meaning behind each of the member's solo parts as I see some distorted imagery and reflections (equally if something was haunting them). Merely that might just take been my misinterpretation. They did a proficient job of showing loneliness and the feelings that come up with it. I liked how they toned down the colours in the video. Information technology actually keeps that night concept in cheque with the song and consistent throughout the entire video.
I think I might need to wait until at that place is a alive performance for this particular comeback. But from what I can see during the choreography shots, everything looked quite skillful. There were some body waves and some deliberate slow motility inside the dance moves that look promising!

Dropping their comeback today is KNK, who returns with Rain. The group previously made their return with Sun, Moon, Star a few weeks back, which was the main track from their second single album, Gravity. Today, the group has dropped the repackaged issue of Gravity, which has been retitled equally Gravity, Completed, which as well serves every bit their 3rd mini album to date.
The rail follows nicely from Sun, Moon, Star, in terms of style. They honestly could have returned with any style of the song of their choice, simply they kept it consistent, which made me very happy. I recall it is because yous don't hear this sound often anymore since the music manufacture has now been overrun with electronic synths and influences. I love the instrumental of the track. The use of the saxophone made the heavy instrumental feel a footling lighter and gives it a more dynamic appeal. Like the name, I tin encounter myself listening to this one a rainy twenty-four hour period. The vocal piece of work of this runway is commendable, where each fellow member shone brightly. Seungjun's part right after the first chorus was my favourite. The verses could have been more memorable, equally it was easily forgotten when it jumped to the chorus or when I watch the performance. What made me laugh (fifty-fifty though it was my fault) was that I misunderstood the English in the song. I honestly idea it said 'I'll cancel tonight', which to me made sense. Merely when I watched the performance, the lyrics were actually 'I tin can't sleep this night'. That's my short story that bares no relevance to the review, but overall, it was ane amazing song.
As suggested previously, how else to ready this music video but with lots of rain. That's exactly what happened here. It seems each fellow member got into a breakup and the scenes evidence how they react to it. Some of them finish up sulking, while the others stop up running later. Information technology is a pretty self-explanatory video and it does have a few KPOP cliches in it. For case, why is at that place a piano at the end of a tunnel and why practice KPOP idols look so discrete from the globe when they cutting themselves? But what I really liked was how each fellow member had a dramatic contact with h2o, information technology was edited so they look like they fell into a large body of water. The editing there was amazing and it looked pretty absurd. While it did experience like a cliché, I thought information technology add to the emotional vibes that were coming off from the song.
There were a few artists that made their improvement today. But what got me to write the review for this particular ane commencement (over the others) was the choreography. I freaking love it. I dear their use of the umbrellas to aid their transitions and information technology merely perfectly clicks with the song'due south style. The performance (from today) left me speechless and this could perchance take my vote for the best choreography of this year.

KNK is back with a brand new single, titled every bit Sunday, Moon, Star. The group fabricated their debut concluding year with Knock and made comebacks with Back Once more and U.Their latest single is said to pay homage to HIGHLIGHT (formerly known equally Brute). The writer of KNK's latest vocal, Kim Tae Joo, has previously worked with HIGHLIGHT and the choreography is likewise said to be inspired by Ribbon.
True to the claims, the song has distinct similarities to HIGHLIGHT'due south tracks such as 12:30 and Ribbon. These two songs accept grown to be ane of my favourite tracks in KPOP and it seems like this 1 is fastly ascension to join that list. I won't say it is amazing or on par with the other songs, mainly because at that place is 1 affair that didn't experience correct (more on that shortly). KNK does manage to put a twist on the sound to make it different at the same time. The string and classical based instrumental suits the fellow member'south vocals very well, considering how the group has so far fabricated more powerful and intense songs. The song has no rap section, which is something that I agree with. There is no room for a rap sequence given the nostalgic instrumental and great vocals (i.e. a rap sequence would have made everything experience overwhelming). All of that existence said though, this song doesn't captivate me. There is dull experience to the vocal, which I tin can help but discover every time I render to the vocal for another listen. I say this because it is the one and only criticism I have regarding the song. I am quite certain that if the song somehow shook off that dull audio, the song would have been much ameliorate.
Returning to that dull bespeak I was making, the haziness of the video doesn't actually help. I know that they are trying to put out a different video entirely, but I felt it was too hazy at times and the lighting was a little too bright for an emotional song. That'south me beingness narrow-minded. The darker choreography scenes seem to fit the rail more than. The video shows the guys trying to accommodate to a breakup with their lovers. Everything else returns to normal (such every bit that chair moving back in place) but the guys are having a hard fourth dimension doing so. The video also consisted on choreography shots and closeups of them singing, which all look practiced (minus the lighting).
The choreography is fitting for the vocal, so I don't really have much else to say. On phase, they seem to convey their emotions both through the trip the light fantastic toe and their vocals, which is pretty cool. The link between HIGHLIGHT'due south choreography and KNK's trip the light fantastic toe is extremely subtle and I had to scout extremely carefully to take hold of it. Not as well certain if that is a adept thing withal, but information technology has me coming dorsum to performances to encounter what else could be a connection between the two routines.

KNK made their debut at the end of Feb of this year with Knock. They made their first comeback in May with Back Again. At present, they are back with a new single, U.
U is a very popping and potent rails. The son reminds me of their title track. The song tried to experience as intense every bit their debut rails but fell brusque of that goal. The vocal work and the rapping in the vocal were okay. The song did feel a little banal and monotone. They didn't deviate from that straight line analogy and it did go tedious. It was as if the afterwards parts of the vocal were copied and pasted over and over again. There wasn't anything that seemed different from the commencement chorus and the terminal chorus, which is normally using different lyrics or ad-libs are added to give the song that terminal peak or impact. [Relistening to the song one more time, in that location are advertizement-libs. They were but completely drowned out]. Also the instrumental sounds good but it is equally if the producers could not decide on it and decided to join multiple instrumentals. Some parts were fast tempo, others were irksome. It simply did not flow well together. It was almost sounded as if it was jagged. I do still think the song is still worth listening to as it does share that common ground with Knock and Back Once more (i.e. all their songs do remind you of KPOP a few backs and do aim / are intense to listen to).
No music video was released for this track due to poor editing and quality. That is a pretty dangerous motion for a rookie group from a small company. I understand that they might not need a budget, but a music video goes a long way.
However, they did release a Performance Version, which I have included below. Just that but shows the choreography. And yes, KNK was shown themselves off again with they sharp dance moves and fast footwork. Did you see the "U, U, U" part of the dance? While I take seen information technology in the industry before, information technology all the same looks amazing each time.

KNK made their debut with Knock, back in February. They accept since returned with Back Once again during the month of June.
The boys are back at it over again with another powerful song. Comparing to Knock, Back Again is not as catchy or addictive. However, the guys withal audio amazing. Reading through the comments, I concord with many fans who are saying this is a vocal that y'all accept expected to be released years ago. Non saying the song is currently outdated, but it sparks the memories of the many boy groups that released songs like to this, like Brute or Infinite. Oh, the skillful sometime days. Vocals and raps were highlighted and emphasised in this song. They sounded great! The instrumental is already quite powerful past itself. There was a great residuum betwixt the vocals/raps and instrumental. Either ane did not drown the other out and it sounded quite nice. As I said to a higher place, it just wasn't something that I would describe as a memorable vocal. It simply did not comprise the punch in the chorus as I had observed and heard in Knock.
Music video was a little boring to lookout. I was more into the song than video. The standard formula of choreography, close up shots and a tiny sprinkle of acting on top. Those overused sets are back at it. I don't listen them, but it would be a little nice to see many KPOP videos change it up. I sympathise that commonly, they go for these sets considering they are user-friendly and cheap to use, but you tin only change a template so many times. Also that, I don't take much to annotate near the video.
The dancing is spot on. Another group with knife-like precision and accuracy. 100% synchronisation. Thought the trip the light fantastic toe for the chorus was spot on. The dancing that KNK has washed so far with their two promotional runs take shown their powerful side and it is a side that I want to continue seeing from the guys, because information technology suits them a lot.
Terminal Rating – 6.v/x
OMG. I am so delayed. This was meant to be out earlier in the month, and now look at the calendar, April is almost gone. I'm still tweaking this segment, only I don't know if I should whatsoever matter or get rid of anything existing, and then if you tin can provide feedback, it will exist greatly appreciated. Lots to talk about, to let'southward go.
Major News
EXO'due south Kai and F(x)'south Krystal were defenseless dating and SM Entertainment confirmed that the two were in fact an actual couple. After this confirmation, people started to mail pictures online as "proof of Kai and Krystal's relationship", which I think are either false or just a breathy invasion of privacy (but what isn't? They are watched 24/7). Only some of these motion picture claims to have Kai and Krystal kissing in public in a puddle and catch the ii "checking in" into hotels. Anyway, while this probably heartbreaking to fans of both, we all should exist happy for them. Oh and did I mention Dispatch was the i to tell the globe nigh this couple (once again). Who are your reporters and why are they and then good about finding these things?
And the industry has been rocked past news of certain singers suspected of being a role of prostitution, which involves dodgy sponsors. I am not in tune with the whole matter and I am quite sure that the news has died down now. Information technology is very hard to retell everything here, so I volition just cutting to the hunt. These singers either go or are introduced to these sponsors that will make an investment into the singers career, in exchange for you lot know what. That is my agreement of it, and these singers were caught. They were brought into questioning and the news (of course) leaked a description of a particular artist who recently left her visitor and faced financial hardship in the past. It is sorry that people have to issue to this (that is if they chose this path) or just horrible if they were tricked into information technology, which I believe of some of claim to take been.
Comebacks & Debuts

We cannot forget about the rookies tin can we? KNK made their debut with Knock, which it garnering a lot of interest in the band, and I am too.

Equally you can tell, review releases take decreased and so much in the past month. I apologise. Merely a heads upward, I will be releasing reviews on Sundays Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays (provided I am free and take time on those days). The other days are far too too busy for me. I besides mentioned on Twitter that once this semester ends, I volition exist doing a revamp of the site (much needed), and so if there is anything you desire to see, annotate below. All feedback will be appreciated.
Let's add a new ring to the review list! KNK is a male child group that is currently under YNB Entertainment, which too houses Noel and BESTie. They are fabricated up of v members: Kim You Jin, Park Seung Jun, Jeong In Seong, Kim Ji Hun and Oh Hee Jun. They fabricated their official debut on the 16th of March. Surprisingly for a newly debut ring, they accept already established their fanclub: Tinkerbell. But allow's move forth at present.
The vocal is pretty nice to listen to. It doesn't blow me away, but the song probably shows a lot of potential in itself and the band as well. The song starts off with a prissy pianoforte medley and very soothing vocals. The song starts to get a little more impactful with more harmonies and stronger vocals. As the song progresses along, the song starts to build upwardly pretty well. The chorus just smacks you across the face (well, it did for me). It just sounds extremely powerful, but in a subtle fashion (is that just polar reverse then?). Their vocals sound very mature, powerful and every bit if they have been performing for a very long time. The rapping fits very well with the song. It adds to that powerful nature of the song. Suprisinly, when I watch over the music video, I find that they style they intergrated their name into the song quite smart. It flowed very well and doesn't sound similar they over advert themselves (cough-Brave Audio-coughing-JYP back in the 24-hour interval-cough). I am coming down with a cold. Really, it sounds similar information technology was meant to be a function of the vocal. Saying all of that, great song. Very hard to see whatsoever flaws in information technology.
The music video was pretty skillful. Once over again, not plenty to arrive astonishing, but it had its charm. The powerful and night vibe carries through from the song to the video. The sets were phenomenal. Yep, we see them a lot, but the way they used the sets for their solo shots and dance scenes were pretty much their "style". It just fits them really well. Usually, you see that certain scenes don't fit in or the sets didn't just adapt the video. Just here, wow. The lightings in groundwork emphasised them and made them that much manlier and stronger. That very typical "Let's wait for her when she is plainly gone" scenes where they run effectually and expect completely lost when they probably are yet in their houses were in the video and I can say I was a niggling disappointed in that. I expected maybe a different way to nowadays that scene.
The dance is pretty expert as well. However again, not the near jaw dropping choreography I have seen to engagement, just damn, it is notwithstanding pretty skilful. When they walk effectually in the circumvolve, with their chest held upward loftier, that seemed very good. Their movements were very abrupt. The dance just showed off their manliness and oozed with charisma. That catastrophe (when they are rapping) looked awesome and cool.
Overall, I recall it is a very good debut with swell aspects and all. They take and then much potential and I think they will do well for a very long time. 1 affair I will say: cheque out their mini album. They have practiced tracks on it. Equally for this i: 9/10
